Your international experience develops throughout your internships

Internships are selected by Vatel and they are an integral part of your training. They give you the opportunity to apply theoretical teaching in real situation, to be faced with the realities of the business world and to prepare yourself for the job you intend to go into. They are real professional experiences and the internship carried out at the end of your programme is a good launching pad for working life. In the first year, your internship necessarily takes place in France. From the second year, whatever your nationality and in accordance with each country’s law, you can go to the European Union member country of your choice thanks to the opening of borders between states located within the Schengen space*.

*Schengen space: it refers to the free circulation of persons in the member the states of the European Union that signed the Schengen agreement on 14th June 1985 and the convention implementing the Schengen agreement (19th June 1990) that was applied on 26th March 1995. Today the Schengen space includes 24 European Union member states: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Slovaquia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland. The principle of free circulation of persons means that every individual (European Union citizens or others) once she/he has entered one of the member countries, can freely cross the borders of the other countries without control. Passport is no longer necessary to travel, and flights betweens Schengen space destinations are considered as inner flights.
