The new 2017 year is kicking off with great news as our 4**** Hotel has received France’s national Tourism and Disability label.
The label for Vatel Bordeaux
This new development is an integral part of the strategic guidelines taken in the framework of the responsibility charter of our educational enterprise, whose goal is to position our school in new stakes involved in the hospitality industry regarding educational innovation and social responsibility.
In other words, this means that the entire site is completely equipped to facilitate access for those who have one of the four types of disability: Hearing, Visual, Mental or Physical disabilities.
In their studies as well as during their practical application courses, students are thus trained to welcome disabled persons in the hotel and restaurant and to have proper and adequate conduct for each situation.
About the Tourism and Disability Label
This Label is attributed, for one or several types of disabilities, after an assessment of accessibility of tourist sites and attractions. This assessment is based on criteria linked to the architecture and equipment as well as the quality of welcoming guests and services provided.
The goal is to bring reliable, homogeneous and objective information on the accessibility of tourist attractions.
This Label guarantees that tourists will have services adapted to their disability with maximal autonomy.

In 2014, Bordeaux was the first city in France to be awarded the “Destination pour tous” or “Destination for All” label, which recognizes and promotes regions that offer accessibility to tourist attractions for those suffering from mental and physical disabilities.
