Vatel Schools have a five year program. Students nonetheless can begin working after only three years of studies with a Bachelor, a State-certified degree which attests that specific hospitality related knowledge has been acquired and that students already have extensive experience. Jobs held by Bachelor degree holders include Quality Control Management, Facility Management, etc.
After finishing the graduate program, Vateliens can be hired, after a one to two-year probation period, as the Human Resources Manager, Financial Manager or a Marketing Manager. Also please note that the Vatel program is accessible to students who have successfully completed a 2 year vocational course or a 3 year undergraduate program, in other fields.
VATEL, NATIONAL DIRECTORY OF PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION (RNCP) DEGREES BY MINISTERIAL ORDER
Both Vatel under-graduate and graduate cycles have a degree recognized by the National Repertory of Professional Certifications in Europe. This certification was determined according to the following criteria:
Vatel degrees are registered in the National Repertory of Professional Certifications.
In addition to the State-certified Vatel degree, students also have the Europass Diploma Supplement, designed jointly by the European Commission, the European Council and UNESCO. It provides a description of the nature, level, context, content and status of the studies that were successfully completed to received Vatel certified degrees. It was recognized by 47 countries in 2015 and aims to allow a clearer comprehension of the content and value of Vatel degrees for employers or higher education, both in France or in other countries.
