The Covid-19 pandemic is a global health crisis that has greatly impacted the tourism industry, especially hotels and restaurants, which have been forced to close for an undetermined duration. In solidarity with the profession, Vatel Group has decided to provide hotels and restaurants with free access to its online platform of training modules, Vatel E-learning. The staff of these establishments will be able to take advantage of this offer to develop new skills and contribute to the transformation of the tourism industry
Via a simple link to Moodle, hotel and restaurant professionals can access Vatel’s catalogue of training modules and acquire new skills, free of charge. A selection of courses pertaining to customer relations are available in French, English and Spanish, on a variety of topics, such as welcoming clients at reception, long-stay client relations, managing conflict between clients, the particularities of client relations in the breakfast room, and how to generate additional sales.
This initiative, known as “Together, preparing the future,” aims to help frontline staff develop their skills and know-how in highly operational areas.
“At our level, we are determined to support our partner establishments which take interns every year from our 50 schools around the world. This is why we have decided to share our expertise: for Vatel, the best way to help our partners is by offering their staff access to our online courses,” explained Alain Sebban, Chairman of Vatel Group, the world leader in Hotel-Tourism Management Education.
This is Vatel’s way of contributing to the collective effort and of preparing for the future by rebuilding the tourism economy.
