These Tourism Trophies target 11 different categories: accommodations, welcome, restaurant services, shopping, events, etc. - all categories where Lyon’s many companies and organizations, touristic sites, and accommodations compete with one another.
With its head office located in Lyon, Vatel is of course a leading player in tourism in and around Lyon, and is supporting this event once again this year. Many Vateliens were present at the Halle Tony Garnier for this ceremony, and were pleased to be able to applaud two of their colleagues.
Two Vateliens on the podium
One of the 2017 winners was the Hard Rock Cafe, which won the Nightlife Trophy. Known throughout the world, Hard Rock Cafes have had another address since last year, that two Vateliens: Mathieu Cochard and Thibault Salvat opened.
Vatel presents the Coup de Coeur (Best Pick) Trophy:
Karine Benzazon Sebban, the Vatel Lyon and Vatel Nimes General Manager, had the honor of presenting the Jury’s Best Pick Trophy which awards an exceptional touristic offer. This year the Lyon Bike Tour company won the award, for its offer of guided electric bike tours in Lyon: a pleasant way to explore the city with your friends or family.
With the World Travel Awards “Best European Week-end” prize, the Lyon Metropolis can certainly be proud of its touristic assets!
The Trophies du Tourism (Tourism Trophies) are produced by Groupe Progrès in close cooperation with ONLY LYON TOURISME and CONGRES.
