Between traditions and originality, the Nantes Vatel Cafe reveals itself

A green Vatel logo, students waiting on tables, at the cash register and advising clients: it’s evident, we’re at a Vatel Cafe!


At Vatel Lyon, Vatel Bangkok, or at Vatel Mauritius, our academic application cafes are recognized as outstanding by their local client base. A professional experience facility for Vatel Schools, we’re sure that the Nantes Vatel Cafe will also win the hearts of the inhabitants of Nantes, known as the “City of Dukes.” 

The Vatel Cafe Spirit... 

Open from Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 6:30 p.m., the Nantes Vatel Cafe is nearly 5,500 square feet large and can seat 120. Each week there are twelve students who work here in practical application courses after their theoretical courses and they are managed by Beatrice Coue, the Cafe Manager and Alain Ollivier, her assistant.

In line with the “Fresh Food” Vatel Cafe spirit, all our products are organic, fresh and seasonal: paninis, sandwiches, wraps, all of these “must haves” can be found on the menu.

... originality with a hint of Nantes to boot! 

With its salad bar and new burgers concept, the Nantes Vatel Cafe can serve its clients special offers and sometimes even “local” specialties. 

For example, Clemence hamburgers,a Gâteau Nantais, a dessert made only in Nantes, or a Far Breton, a specialty of Brittany.What is a Clemence hamburger? It’s named after Clemence Lefeuvre, which is the name of the square were the Vatel Cafe is located, paying homage to the famous cook who invented beurre nantais, a white butter sauce with fresh cream. Stop in an try this delicious recipe: a soft bun with a delicious hamburger, covered with Vatel’s beurre nantais sauce, served with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and cheddar cheese.
