Maestro, let’s tour!

What better way to see yourself in the future than to have an insider’s visit on how a hotel works? A tale of a tour of an Adagio with a first year Bachelor student from Vatel Nimes.

Mathis Fredouille and other students in his class were able to tour the Adagio Access Hotel in Nimes right at the beginning of the academic year: an opportunity to see how Accor group Aparthotels are run, mixing hotel services and equipment found in an apartment. “A new concept that is booming! Accor Group is already thinking of opening Adagio hotels in London and Madrid and has begun opening them in North America and South America,” explained Mathis Fredouille.

Though Adagio hotels have a Premium category (an up-market offer), students discovered the Access offer, which targets students, families or business travelers, during this tour.

This was also an opportunity for them to better understand the main trends in hospitality where they hope to work after graduation: new customer expectations include more autonomy, while maintaining a broad range of services to respond to needs of each person.

There is a small team who deals with loyal and regular clients in the hotel, giving them tailor-made services. Students also noted that “hotel staff are polyfunctional and are quickly promoted in Accor group. The Adagio Nimes and Avignon director, who is only 35, is already in charge of two hotels in the chain.”

Flexibility, attractive prices, various rental possibilities are, in Mathis Fredouille’s opinion, just some of the features which explain the attractiveness of Adagios: “this is quite an upheaval in the hospitality industry, as well as serious competition for traditional hotels, who are already heavily impacted by rentals of rooms between individuals, but Accor group will have a say in this thanks to its Adagios.”
