Tips from Fleur Vicente - Vatel

Tips from Fleur Vicente

I am a student in my 2nd year of a bachelor’s degree program at Vatel Bordeaux and was also born and raised in Bordeaux. And now, I want to give you my suggestions of things to do and discover in my region.

Want a night out?

Spain is closer than you think… on Place Saint Michel! Mesón La Venta is a friendly spot located in the heart of Bordeaux. Come and sample some Spanish specialties with a glass of sangria.

Want to hang out at a sidewalk cafe?

You will find a warm and peaceful atmosphere, along with your choice of food and beverages at La Ginguette Chez Alriq on Quai des Queyries, close to Darwin. Have a drink with family or friends for an even better time!

Want to go for a ride?

Hop on your bike and cycle along the Garonne to enjoy the views.

Want a drink?

Not far from Place Pey Berland and the Cathedral, Mama Shelter has one of the best rooftop terraces in Bordeaux. There’s nothing like a cold cocktail while you watch the sun go down!

Want a savory treat?

If you enjoy simple meals with the flavors of Thailand, take your taste buds on an affordable journey at Santosha, on Place Fernand Lafargue. It’s time to get tongue-Thai’d!

Want to go shopping?

Bordeaux is brimming with small boutiques, including Mint Bazar on Rue du Pas-Saint-Georges, where you will find clothes, accessories, make-up, decorations and more. In short, everything you need for your vacation!

Want to explore the region?

Visit the Cité du Vin wine museum and then wrap up the experience with a tasting of wines from around the world as you admire a panoramic view of all of Bordeaux.
