Tips from Morgane Lajoux - Vatel

Tips from Morgane Lajoux

As a 2nd year student at Vatel Bordeaux, I come from Tours. Today, I suggest you a list of activities to do and discover in this beautiful region of Bordeaux.

Want to go out?

I invite you to Darwin a former military barracks located on the right bank where everything is possible: restaurant, Skate Park, organic grocery store... On Wednesdays, Bordelais gather with friends during the "Happy Hours" where music is the main theme.

Want to relax on a terrace?

With a breathtaking view of the Garonne and its sunset, come and have a drink with your feet in the sand at Chantiers de la Garonne, located at Quai des Queyries. Paradise on earth!

Want to go for a walk?

Rue Saint-James is a historical place in Bordeaux. Passing by the Fernand Lafargue square, then the small shops and the famous Grosse Cloche, I promise, the walk will only be pleasant!

Would you like a drink?

There is nothing better than the Place du Parlement to have a drink with friends. The atmosphere is very good during the day and in the evening. I advise you in particular the bar-restaurant l'Ombrière, a guaranteed Zen moment!

Want to treat your taste buds?

Let you be tempted by a super healthy & gourmet brunch.... located not far from Gambetta, Contrast will promise you avocado toasts and smoothies bowls that give you a cruel appetite!

Looking for a shopping experience?

Promenade Sainte-Catherine is a must-see meeting point in the heart of downtown, where you can find shops, restaurants, cafés, grocery stores...
