For the VAE at Vatel, you must demonstrate solid professional experience.

• For the Bachelor's degree: You should have experience as a head of a hotel department (e.g., Head of Reception, Restaurant Director, Head of Sales, etc.).
• For the MBA: Experience in hotel management is essential. This experience can have been acquired as an employee, a self-employed person, or a job seeker (with past missions in the field). It must be directly related to the target degree, as the VAE serves to officially recognize skills you have already acquired.

Any professional in the restaurant, hotel, or tourism sectors can apply for this process if they have at least one year of professional experience in the field. The program is open to employees, self-employed individuals, and job seekers.

Procedure fee: €1,250
Optional educational support: An additional €2,000 (Once your file is validated, you can write your dissertation to ensure it aligns with the skills framework  and prepare for the interview with the jury).
In case of partial validation, there are no additional fees.
Proof of payment: A bank transfer of 100 € for the application review.
You then submit your application to Vatel, which verifies its eligibility (experience, link to the degree, and complete documents).

The VAE allows you to have your skills and professional experience formally recognized. The degree you obtain has the exact same value as one earned through a traditional training program.

The VAE (Validation of Acquired Experience) allows you to obtain official certifications that recognize your professional skills in hospitality.

The Bachelor in Hospitality program leads to the title “Responsable en management opérationnel en hôtellerie internationale” (Head of Operational Management in International Hospitality) – RNCP Level 6. This certification focuses on operational management and team leadership in the hotel, restaurant, and tourism sectors.

The MBA in Hospitality program leads to the title “Directeur d’hôtellerie internationale” (International Hotel Director) – RNCP Level 7. This certification emphasizes hotel management, strategy, and international leadership in the hospitality sector.

Both certifications are recognized by the French government and allow professionals to formalize, through the VAE, the skills and experience they have already acquired in the field.

The application process involves putting together an application file that includes:
A detailed CV in French.
A cover letter explaining your professional project and your reasons for applying.
Official eligibility form, detailing your background and experiences
Proof of payment: A bank transfer of 100 € for the application review.

Vatel will then respond to confirm or deny your acceptance into the VAE process. Once your file is validated, you can write your dissertation to ensure it aligns with the skills framework and prepare for the interview with the jury.
