At Vatel, the VAE (Validation of Acquired Experience) program enables professionals in the tourism, hotel, and restaurant sectors to transform their practical experience into a formally recognized qualification.
Are you a professional in the tourism and hospitality sector who wants to have your on-the-job experience formally recognized? Vatel offers you the chance to go through the VAE process. Validating your experience will enable you to access positions of higher responsibility or give new momentum to your career.

VAE is open to all professionals in the restaurant, hotel, and tourism sectors who can demonstrate a minimum of one year of professional experience in the field. It is accessible to employees, self-employed individuals, and job seekers.
The process requires you to write and defend a thesis before a professional jury, which officially evaluates your skills and knowledge.
Both the Bachelor's and the MBA in Hospitality are registered with the RNCP (Répertoire National des Certifications Professionnelles) and are recognized by the French government via the Ministry of Labor.
The total cost of a VAE at Vatel is €1,250. An additional €2,000 is required if you wish for personalized coaching for writing the Livret 2 and preparing for the jury.
There are also several ways to finance your VAE (only in France):
Any request to validate one or more competency blocks for the RNCP Level 6 Bachelor's and Level 7 MBA titles will require a formal eligibility application and a payment of €1,250.
If approved, the eligibility is valid for 12 months, and the final validation must occur before the end of this period.
If eligibility expires, the candidate must restart the process.
In the case of partial validation, the jury may require you to complete a written assignment to be defended before a new jury.

The Bachelor in Hospitality program leads to the title “Responsable en management opérationnel en hôtellerie internationale” (Head of Operational Management in International Hospitality) – RNCP Level 6.
