The application process for Vatel’s International Bachelor varies depending on the type of program:
Application: Complete the online application form.
Eligibility: If your application is accepted, you will be invited to take the entrance assessment.
Invitation: Pay the fees and receive your official invitation.
Entrance Exam: Take the exams (either in person or online).
Results: Receive your admission decision by email and proceed with enrollment.
Validation: Your admission is confirmed after an administrative appointment.
The entire process, from first contact to the final decision, typically takes around six weeks.
The program is open to students holding a high school diploma or an equivalent qualification, whether it is a general high school diploma, a technological STHR baccalaureate (Science and Technology of Hospitality and Catering), a professional baccalaureate in Culinary Arts, or a professional baccalaureate in Restaurant Sales and Services.
The entrance exam consists of two parts:

Language tests (French and English for the French-taught program, English test for the English-taught program)

Oral part: Motivation interview: This interview lasts approximately 15 minutes. Depending on the campus, the exams may take place in person or remotely. For more details, candidates are encouraged to contact the admissions officer of the relevant campus. The total duration of the exams is estimated at around 3 hours.

In French: All Vatel campuses in France offer a curriculum taught entirely in French, along with language courses (mandatory English + an optional second language).
In English: The campuses in Bordeaux and Nîmes, France, as well as Brussels, Belgium, and Martigny, Switzerland, offer a full program taught in English.
1st Year: You'll learn the fundamentals and standards of hospitality service, followed by a 4/5-month operational internship in the industry.
2nd Year: This year focuses on consolidating your experience and perfecting a foreign language. You'll complete a 6-month international internship.
3rd Year: You'll learn management and decision-making skills. There's also an optional 4/5-month management internship.
All internships are mandatory except for the last one and paid. Vatel helps you find your internships for the 1st and 2nd years, whether they're in France or abroad.

During your second or third year of the Bachelor's program, you can study abroad for one or two years through the Vatel Marco Polo program. The goal is to fully experience a different culture, get better at speaking the language, and learn about international standards for hospitality.
The program lasts for a full academic year and includes a semester of classes in the language of the host campus and a semester-long internship on the campus. There are more than 50 Vatel campuses around the world to choose from. This is a great chance to add both academic and professional international experience to your resume.
